A story for Renee

At Audley we are blessed with an incredible team of people, all of whom are dedicated to enriching the lives of the people they support and those they work alongside.

Along the way there are standout shining stars who go above and beyond to make an exceptional difference to people's lives.

Since joining us in 2020, Renee has been so much more than a carer - she has been a steady source of kindness, reliability, and genuine dedication. Her natural gift for supporting others quickly made her one of our most valued and well-loved team members.

In 2024, this devotion was recognised when she proudly won Carer of the Year at the Spirit Awards - a testament to the incredible work she does every single day.

A Day in the Life of Renee

A carer’s day is never simple, yet Renee has carried hers with strength, grace, and plenty of humour - especially while pregnant. Her mornings start before sunrise, followed by traffic, busy visits, three client showers a day, meal prep, medication support, housekeeping, and the companionship that means so much to those she cares for.

And of course, we can’t forget the unforgettable sight of Renee getting up and down from the floor while pregnant - accompanied by determination, laughter, and the occasional dramatic sigh that says, “This should count as cardio.” Somehow, she still makes it look almost elegant.

Between visits, she powers through long days fuelled by snacks (always snacks) and her unwavering compassion.

Now, as she leaves in November to take on her most important role yet - motherhood - we are filled with pride and joy. Renee is excited to welcome her baby boy, and while we’ll miss her warmth and humour, we know this is not goodbye.

She’ll be back with us in Autumn 2026, and we cannot wait to welcome her home again.

Thank you, Renee, for everything - past, present, and still to come.

Did you know some of the typical things we 'save for best' include china, eveningwear, undergarments, jewellery, bedding, and even furniture. After years of keeping all those special things tucked away in a safe place, don’t wait until tomorrow. The best is right now.
