The active Audley lifestyle

We believe you shouldn’t have to change your lifestyle when you retire. Despite the challenges this last year has faced, our property owners up and down the country have been as active as ever.

Owners at every Audley village have a monthly calendar of events as well as regular classes and clubs to take part in. Owners create their own special interest groups too, including photography, fitness and other hobbies. Here's an example of July's calendars of events at our Derbyshire village and our owners have shared some examples of their interests and experiences.

Mr Kelly at Audley Ellerslie, Malvern

Mr Kelly at Audley Ellerslie, Malvern

"I enjoy getting out on the Malvern hills on my bike, on a solo or club ride. Walking on the Malvern Hills is another great bonus, as well as the short walk into town. The community at Audley Ellerslie is very strong and there is a great ambience at the coffee mornings or dinner. Plus, the use of the gym and pool is great for maintaining fitness."

Mr and Mrs Johnson, Audley Binswood, Royal Leamington Spa

"We decided on Leamington Spa for its excellent town centre and motorway connections, in particular to The Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales where we enjoy walking.

There was also a good running club to join with an athletics track; we are no longer members but still enjoy running."

Mr and Mrs Huggins, Audley Redwood, Bristol

Mr and Mrs Huggins, Audley Redwood, Bristol

"At Audley Redwood there was only one apartment we were interested in as it was the last apartment available in the main house which was important to us as we wanted all the Audley Club facilities on our doorstep.

Mrs Huggins swims every day, whilst I swim 4 – 5 times a week and we both regularly attend Pilates sessions and go to the gym which is so much easier when you can open your apartment door and just go down a flight of stairs."
