The Audley Virtual Choir - Skye Boat Song

In the winter of 2020, a group of Audley property owners came together virtually through their love of singing to create the Audley Virtual Choir.

Over the past few months the choir have continued to meet virtually with their composer Guy Bunce to hone their vocal cords and to have a bit of fun along the way!

After the success of their Christmas Carol, ‘O Come All Ye Faithful’, we are pleased to share their second recorded song of the 19th-century Scottish song, ‘Skye Boat Song’.

This classic song recalls Prince Charles Edward Stuart’s (or more affectionately known as Bonnie Prince Charlie) journey to the Isle of Skye from Benbecula in the Outer Hebrides, as he evaded capture from government troops after his defeat at the Battle of Culloden in 1746.

Well done to everyone involved and once again we are pleased to present the Audley Virtual Choir’s version of ‘Skye Boat Song’.
