Audley's first retirement village in London overlooks Clapham Common and is adjacent to Clapham South tube station. Now open, the village has 94 one to three bedroom apartments as well as a pool, cinema, restaurant and health club.
Audley Nightingale Place is a brand new, modern development which opened in 2020, but the site was formerly home to the local Metropolitan Police headquarters.
A short distance away stands Clapham South station, on London Underground's Northern Line.
The station opened in 1926 and was one of eight London Underground stations to include a deep-level air raid shelter. These tube shelters served as a safe place for essential services such as telephone services, government offices and military personnel.
