Rebuilt in the 1960s and again in 2006, the Ascot grandstand has undergone several transformations through the years.
Royal Ascot is probably the most famous event in the racing calendar, attracting top-calibre horses and riders competing for more than £8 million in prize money over five days.
Wisley is the historic home of the Royal Horticultural Society and boasts one of the largest plant collections in the world. Every season has a different wonder to show - bulbs and blossom in spring, beautiful borders and roses in summer, stunning autumn colours and then frosty walks in winter.
The Glasshouse is worth a visit on its own, not to mention the cosy cafes where you can enjoy a hot lunch or cup of tea. Just around the corner from Wisley is a 'pick your own' farm where you can enjoy the local produce at a great price.

Reading and Brooklands museums
Reading Museum is only a 30-minute drive from Runnymede and is well worth a visit. Some of the beautiful artworks on display in our entrance hall and throughout the village at Audley Cooper's Hill were originally curated from Reading Museum.
