First property available to view at St George's Place
This spring marks a key stage in the development of Audley St George’s Place, the luxury retirement village in Edgbaston, Birmingham. A show home is opening in preparation for welcoming its first owners at the end of 2016.
Situated just a short walk from Edgbaston’s shops and restaurants, Audley St George’s Place will offer luxury retirement living with the vibrancy of town life.
The show home will be the first property available to view at the village, giving visitors a preview of what the completed development will look like, following ongoing renovations at the former Royal School for the Deaf. Once complete, Audley St George’s Place will provide a mix of 95 apartments and cottages for the over 55s. The new village is also set to create up to 50 new jobs in the local community, from the sales team to restaurant staff and gardeners.
Nick Sanderson, CEO of Audley Retirement, said, “It seems no time at all since work began at St George’s Place, and opening the show home marks a real milestone in our initial phase of development. We’re looking forward to showcasing our first property in the village and warmly invite the local community to attend our upcoming open days.”
The development will be centred around the Audley Club – the renovated Royal School for the Deaf. It will offer facilities to rival any boutique hotel, including a swimming pool, restaurant, bar/bistro and spa, which will be accessible to both owners and the neighbouring communities. It will also give owners the chance to live close to a vibrant and bustling town centre, while offering beautiful and secure living in retirement. Work on the development will be complete in 2017.
