AUDLEY MOTE HOUSE BREAKS GROUND ON PENULTIMATE PHASE
Audley Mote House, the luxury retirement village near Bearsted in Kent, has started work on the penultimate phase of development, building 43 new one and two bedroom properties for over 55s, of which 30% are already reserved.
Many of the properties in this latest phase of development will offer Juliette balconies or terraces alongside the high quality fixtures and fittings included in all Audley villages, from Villeroy & Boch sanitary ware to SieMatic kitchens. Areas of this phase will be re-named to honour the history of Mote House and the Park. One of the apartment buildings will be named Alexander Court as a tribute to the architect of Mote House, Daniel Asher Alexander.
This is an exciting phase of development for the Mote House team, which will virtually complete the village and bring the total number of properties completed to 92. Echoing the sympathetic renovation and refurbishment of the Grade II* listed mansion, work will get underway on breathing new life into some of the historic estate buildings that remain on the site. The apartments are to be located in what was once the kitchen block, set away from the mansion, which would have included a below ground connecting tunnel and underground storage rooms.
In line for conversion are the listed Brew House and Dairy, which will be offered for sale. The properties will retain their period charm providing elegant, contemporary living for those aged 55 and over. Where possible original features will be reinstated and restored.
When the properties are completed in Autumn 2015 it will be a unique opportunity to make a home in a piece of local history.

Grade II* listed Mote House, sits in more than 450 acres of historic parkland, and is the heart of the luxury retirement village. It was fully renovated and refurbished in keeping with its period charm and was opened in June 2012 and is now home to several apartments and the Audley Club.
